video arcade at HB, Berlin
Listening to this recording might transport us back to our tender childhood or adolescence, when playing in the video arcades. This one was not recorded in a real one, but in a recreation I found in an installation within an exhibit at Hamburger Bahnhof a couple of years ago. I spent some time playing there, of course (you can listen to it here). The sounds are unmistakable if one has visited one of those places ever before, I still remember some of those catchy 8bit tunes.
